Survivor Participation in Practice – ICBL

Survivor participation is a guiding principle for the ICBL and states have recognized the need for full participation expressed by survivors and others. The Cartagena Action Plan includes commitments to increase survivor participation in all areas of mine action nationally, including mine clearance and victim assistance. This event offered diverse perspectives on practical steps taken to strengthen survivor participation. The event was hosted by the ICBL at the Peace Palace, In Phnom Penh on 2 December 2011.
